About us?

Ecuador Montuvio Organizations’ Federation – FEDOMEC, is an autonomous non-governmental national organization that brings together organizations from the montuvio coast and subtropics’ areas of Ecuador. It was created by the Economic and Social Inclusion Ministry on June 22, 2012 under Ministerial Agreement No. 0000038. With the purpose of promoting the well-being montuvio associations and in order to actively and jointly participate in socio-economic, cultural, environmental and agro-productive transformation, FEDOMEC take actions on it so that families which are especially integrated into the Federation can live a life with dignity as it is enshrined in the State Constitution as a part of the collective rights.

FEDOMEC is fulfilling its mandate by responding to its specific purposes:

a) Organize and guide the affiliated montuvio associations, based on the “Endogenous Development Process”.

b) Propose social, cultural and economic policies, so much as legal reforms to the State in favor of Montuvio People;

c) Mobilize resources in order to get basic infrastructure and equipment for its affiliated associations through the State and multilateral development organizations, as well as carry out national and permanent campaigns against discrimination and exclusion, highlighting the spiritual and moral values of Montuvio People.

We work in the alliance building between community associations, companies and local governments aimed at improving the quality of montuvio communities’ life. On the other hand we work on strengthening democratic practices by establishing strategic alliances with governmental, non-governmental and academic organizations, and in this way reach the endogenous economic development and productive reactivation of our people.
